A Perfect Mess

On this last day of Christmas vacation as I clean out the pantry
(seriously-who needs 4 boxes of pancake mix)
and fridge (bye bye Christmas candy!)
and Tupperware cabinet (it's not really Tupperware so why do I still call it that?)
I can't help but think of this quote.

I love the reminder that God doesn't want me to pretend
to have it all together with Him when I don't
(which is good because I so DO NOT).
He is right there with me in the midst of my messy life!
And for that I am so very thankful!

The quote is one of my favorites and is from a book titled A Perfect Mess
by the fabulous Lisa Harper.
You can find the book HERE

If you'd like to print out a copy of the quote you can find both a JPG in the folder HERE

  1. This fit me to a "T", right down to cleaning out my Tupperware drawer and mine is Tupperware as I have a Tupperware addiction! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Hi Shannon, I have enjoyed your posts for some time now and this one was perfect timing! We spent the two last weeks dealing with a big mess with my MIL's home. On top of having four small ones at home it has been quite a challenge to deal with this emotional and messy (to say the least) situation. It was nice to take a break this morning and think about our heavenly father who takes care of all of our life messes.
    Thank you for the reminder!

  6. Thanks so much for the scripture writing plan! God is so good to me!!!! As I was in my yard yesterday I saw a paper that had been run over several times.I was going to put it in the trash,I looked at it ,tears came in my eyes. I've been praying for God to help me with my bible studies!!!! He used you to answer my prayer. I knew if this one was December 2015,there was a January 2016!! Praise God for provision, keep doing what you're doing, you sure helped this aging lady!!!
