My 40 Random Acts of Kindness

My birthday was spent performing 40 Random Acts of Kindness-
one for every year of my life-
 with my sweetest friend Dory
(who was my fabulous photographer all day!)

To say it was a fun day was an understatement!

It truly was the best birthday ever!

Here's what we did:
(that was a secret so if you know him, please don't tell him!)

Tomorrow (hopefully- if not, then Friday) I'll be posting the very LONG list
of RAOK my sweet friends and family did in honor of me on my birthday.

The list is long and full of some fabulous randoms acts of kindness!
I am truly blessed!

What I REALLY Want for my 40th Birthday TODAY

Today's the day I turn 40!!!!

Weeks before your birthday people always ask what you want.

never have an answer.

I'm truly blessed and have way more than I could ever possibly need.

Since this year is one of those decade change birthdays for me,
I've been telling people that I am not having a birthday this year.

But after reading the blog a sweet friend sent
me a link to the other day I decided
I DID want to celebrate my birthday this year and
I immediately knew
what I wanted for my birthday!

But I need YOUR help to get it.

Will you help me?

My birthday wish is to complete one Random Act of Kindness for every year of my life so far (that's 40), as well as asking family, friends, Facebook friends, and fellow Twitter-ers to each perform one Random Act of Kindness and to let me know about it throughout the day via email or text message on my birthday- TODAY Monday, March 29th.
(And if you could take a picture of it? Like icing on the cake!)

If I can get 40 (or 80?) friends to do a Random Act of Kindness that day?

It will be AMAZING.

I honestly can not think of anything I'd like better
as a gift than for other people to be blessed
and it truly would make my day so special if you'd join me.

Getting texts and emails all day of the great things people are doing for others will be like getting little presents all day long.

The fact that my sweetest friend Dory is here with me
to help me accomplish my 40 Random Acts of Kindness?
Seriously- the GREATEST thing EVER!!!
(We are going to have SO much fun!!!)

So....will you join me?

Pretty please?

Pretty please with a Sonic drink on top?

Please leave a comment here with your good deed, text me,
send me a FB message or a tweet to let me know about your good deed for the day!

I've always known that I am blessed with some of the most wonderful friends and family EVER but last night was absolute proof positive of that fact.  I'm still almost speechless about the amazing 40th birthday surprise party held for me last night.

The sweet friends that worked together from near and far to plan it, the planning and thought that went into it, the precious details that made me cry, the fun that was had, the laughter that was shared, was almost more than my heart can take.

The fact that my sweetest friend Dory surprised me by flying here a day ahead of schedule, got picked up by my sweet friend Jamee at the airport, and was the one who opened the door at the party, made the evening truly priceless.  I can't tell you how incredible it was to have almost all the people who I love in the same place, at the same time.

I want to tell you all the details soon, but today- and for the next several days- I'll be too busy playing with sweet Dory and having lots and lots of fun.  But I promise to be back soon with pictures and details!

Flashback Friday

This is one of my favorite pics of Madison and my dad.
It was the first time he ever laid eyes on each other and
I love the look on both of their faces.
You could tell even then- just minutes into her life- what great buddies they would be.
Love love love this pic and love the close relationship those two have!
