Randomness on a Friday Morning

1. For those of you who have asked, my new camera is a Nikon D60 and I absolutely love it!!! ( I also got this zoom lens.....and it's wonderful!) As much as I love it, I don't think I've ever spent that much money on something just for me and it makes me feel guilty for spending so much. I have been saving for it for quite a while- so I did use Christmas, anniversary, and birthday money on it. But still, I feel guilty. :(

2. Maddie's sweet friend Katie B. (not to be confused with her other sweet friend, Katie C.) mentioned this product that her mom had used on Katie's hair Sat. for their dance performance this past weekend. It's Root Boost by Catwalk. Since my hair is as fine and thin as can be, I'm always looking for something to help give me volume. So, I ran by Ulta on Monday and picked some up and y'all.........that stuff is AMAZING! I love, love, love it and can not believe how much body it adds to my hair! Love it- thanks so much Katie B.!

3. This post at Antique Mommy is sweet and heartbreaking and thought provoking and absolutely precious.

4. I ordered this precious camera strap cover on ETSY yesterday- isn't it super CUTE????

5. Next time I have to take a dessert somewhere? Totally making these Samoa Bars. YUMMY!!

6. Here are two sweet FREE Easter downloads to share..............these cute cards at Heirloom Paperie and these adorable Easter tags/labels/cupcake pics from Pumpkin Petunia.

7. Love this quote....

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience,
but shouts in our pain, it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
~ C.S. Lewis ~

8. Nothing planned this weekend.
Nada. Zero. Zilch. NOTHING.
How rare.
How fabulous.
How wonderful.

  1. The D60 sounds like a great camera! And it's good to spoil yourself every now and then. Hopefully you can fill in your weekend with a photo shoot or two. Enjoy!

  2. We have the Nikon D40x and Mitch loves it. He has the one with the two lenses and it took great photos in Hawaii. It is too heavy in my hand, I am always afraid I am going to drop it. He got his for Christmas in Dec. of 2008!

  3. i so just made you a strap cover for your camera...oh well. you can use my homemade one when you have to wash the nice one so your camera strap doesn't have to go naked.
would be a shame to have a naked camera strap...don't you think?
