Jeremy Camp: The Answer {Giveaway}

I've been a Jeremy Camp fan for many years-
one of my favorite songs of all time is his song There Will Be a Day.

Jeremy is a three time American Music Award nominee and
he releases a FABULOUS new album titled The Answer tomorrow!

My absolute favorite song on this album is Word of Life:

I loved hearing Jeremy share about this song in this video

As much as I love that song there are so many other great ones too!
The Answer is a beautiful song that reminds us the
HE is the answer to every question we face,
He is the solution to all of our fears.
HE alone is the answer.

So many questions, the world is reaching
So many hurting, so many lost
With all this thriving, who can we lean on?
Creations crying, out from the dark
I know the answer, to every question
The one solution, to every fear
I know my helper, where it comes from
Jesus, He is the answer
He sees our sadness, He feels our sorrow
And in our weakness, He is strong
He holds the weight of, all of our failings
Greedy is our sin but greater the cross
I know the answer, to every question
The one solution, to every fear
I know my helper, where it comes from
Jesus, He is the answer
For every heart that's breaking
For every soul that's shaking
For every sickness, there's healing in Your hands
Let every heart awaken
To see it's You who saves us
You are my help and the rock on which I stand
You are the answer, to every question
The one solution, to every fear
You are my helper, where it comes from
Jesus, You are the answer
Oh Jesus, You are the answer
You are the answer
You are the answer
You are the answer
Another of my favorites from the album is the song Never Stopped Loving.
It's a beautiful reminder that Jesus NEVER stops loving us. NEVER,

Live Like You're Loved

I don't know about you but there are times that although I know
in my head & heart that I'm loved by God, I don't feel loved.
That I fail more often than I succeed.
That I am not enough.
Not kind enough, giving enough, forgiving enough. Enough.
That I don't do enough for Him.
That I simply fail to measure up.

I came across this video late last week and it so spoke to me!
I absolutely love the message behind this song & it's such a beautiful reminder
that His love for me isn't based on how good I am (thank goodness!)
but on how good HE is.

Find You Here

I find such comfort and solace in music.
When my soul is weary and tired and worn and worried about those I love
- music centers me and reminds me of God's goodness and love.

The song Find You Here by Ellie Holcomb is one of my current favorites.

It's a beautiful song that is such a great reminder that God
is near to us when we are in the midst of darkness.
That He will carry us through the pain and struggle.
That He holds us in His mighty hands.

Beautiful Things

This morning I listened to the song Beautiful Things by Gungor and loved the lyrics (posted below) so much that I decided to find out where the inspiration for the song came from.
It's such a beautiful song that reminds us that regardless of our daily circumstances we need to remember that one day all of the angst & suffering
we have now will be made NEW!
God is present even in our difficulties!

I read an article where Gungor said:
"My wife Lisa and I wrote the song together based on experiences at our local church. We were seeing our friends going through suffering and pain. This song is an expression of hope that God will make beautiful things out of the dust in our lives, and God will somehow use us, use our obedience and love, our feeble human effort, and build Himself a kingdom. I see that God is using suffering to bring us closer to Him."

The verses used as inspiration were Isaiah 2:4 and Revelation 21:4-5

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

You make me new, You are making me new
You make me new, You are making me new

It is Well

Happy Monday sweet friends!
So much has been going on and life has been so busy
that I simply haven't had time {or to be honest the energy} to blog lately.
I plan to soon with some free printables I used at our retreat last weekend
and the fun thing I did on my birthday this year
{I'm now halfway to 90- what the heck?}
and some other stuff rambling around in my head!

So I often get obsessed with a song and will listen to
it multiple times on the way to work each day for weeks and weeks in a row.
This is my current favorite and it so speaks to my heart.

I love the lyrics that say...

Far be it from me to not believe
Even when my eyes can't see
And this mountain that's in front of me
Will be thrown into the midst of the sea
Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
Through it all, through it all
It is well

Praying it blesses you today!

Clear the Stage

My daughter and her dance company danced to this song last night at a dance convention.
I absolutely LOVE the dance- it is absolutely beautiful.
So beautiful that although I've seen them do the dance before,
I cry every single time.

The song is Clear the Stage by Jimmy Needham
and it's a truly amazing song with such a powerful message.
My favorite lyrics are:
Take a break from all the plans that you have made, and
sit home alone and wait for God to whisper

Beg him please to open his mouth and speak and pray for
real upon your knees until they blister

Shine the light on every corner of your life until the
pride, and lust, and lies are in the open

Then read the word and put to test the things you’ve
heard until your heart and soul are stirred and rocked and broken

Cause you can sing all you want to
Oh you can sing all you want to
You can sing all you want to, and still get it wrong
Oh worship is more than a song

We must not worship something that’s not even worth it

Clear the stage, make some space, for the one who deserves it

Move

This is my current favorite song. I get to school pretty early each day {around 6:45} and I usually play this song 4 or 5 times before school starts.  I just love the lyrics! Such a great reminder that if we keep our focus where it should be- on Him- there will be brighter days.  That because of our relationship with Him, we are to move to the beat of a different drummer.

I'm not about to give up
Because I heard you say
There's gonna be brighter days
There's gonna be brighter days
I wont stop, I'll keep my head up
No, I'm not here to stay
There's gonna be brighter days
There's gonna be brighter days

I just might bend but wont break
As long as I can see your face

When life wont play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can't seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I wont let it drag me down
Oh, I'll keep dancing anyway

I'm gonna move (move)
I'm gonna move (move)
I'm gonna move [gonna move]

Ive got to hold it steady
Keep my head in the game
Everything is about to change
Everything is about to change
This burdens getting heavy
But I'm not about to cave
Everything's about to change
There's gonna be brighter days

No matter what may come
Gotta move to a different drum
No matter what life brings
Gotta move gotta move to a different beat
Gotta move gotta move to a different beat
