January Scripture Writing Plan 2016

For those who did the December Scripture Writing Plan and enjoyed it,
here's the plan for the month of January!

As we start a new year this is a great way to spend
a few minutes each day focusing on what is truly important!
There is something about writing out scripture that seems to
make the word come alive for me-
and I'm thankful it's been a blessing to so many of you as well!

You can find a copy to print out for yourself in the folder HERE.

For those that have asked, there is also a blank form
to write your verses on that can be found HERE

I'll be updating the plans for the new year
so if you check back at the end of each month,
I'll have the plan posted for the following month!

UPDATE:
Thanks to a sweet reader named Carolyn, you can find the Spanish version HERE
Thank you Carolyn!

  2. Please keep making these monthly plans! I started and am almost done with the December one, and it was a great way for me to have to engage more with the Bible vs. merely reading over it.

  8. I have been so blessed by the December scriptures that I cannot wait to start in January! It is a great way to study the Bible and get into the Word. I have also enjoyed using the prayer cards for "Husband", "Daughter", "Son", and "Grandchildren". Have you considered making them for "Wife" and "Friend"? I would love a set each!

  13. Thank you so much! I had never done this before and I loved the way it strengthened me and I shared certain verses with my family as I wrote them and used a couple in our church bulletin. I am so excited to see one for January! I wrote my Christmas ones on index cards and plan on laminating them and putting them on a ring to read and study. Blessings to you from Iowa.

  15. It's great to go through the Bible and write down the verses assigned for the day. There are times where one of the verses will captivate my attention and make me think a little bit more. I love when hat happens. :) Thank you for coming up with this monthly scripture writing plan.

  19. Thank you so much for these scripture writing plans. I started with November, and I feel so blessed with the commitment I've made to doing this first thing every morning. Before these plans, I was lax in spending time in God's word. Again, thank you and God bless.

  21. I came across the December plan and used it. It made me slow down and think about the Word rather than just run through it each day. I didn't do very well at writing everyday, but I did catch up and wrote out all of it. Looking forward to January! Thank you!

  28. Thank you so much for the scripture writing plans. I started in December and it has helped me get back into God's Word. When I was in college, I always rewrote my class notes to help me remember the content. The same follows for God's Word. I have passed your monthly plans onto friends. Thanks again! :)

  30. I just wanted to thank you. Several of my friends and I did this in December and are looking forward to continuing on with it. We've even got more joining us this month having heard how much we enjoyed and took away from it last month. I also wanted to tell you last month looking at the 31st, I remember thinking, "What in the world am I going to pick for my own verse?!" Well, by the end of the month I just knew exactly the verses that the Lord placed on my heart to record. I'm looking forward to asking my girlfriends at church tomorrow what ones they felt the Lord leading them to. Thanks again! Kristin and Friends in Spokane, Washington.

  34. Thanks for this. I started the November plan but didn't finish it when I got distracted with other things. I just saw this yesterday when a friend shared it and I am looking forward to doing this in the New Year. Thanks so much!

  35. It was providential that the very first verse of 2016 was Isaiah 43:16-19. My husband preached on these verses on New Year's day, concentrating on the very words I had underlined, "Behold, I am doing a new thing." These words spoke to my heart in light of personal circumstances and I am thankful that God directed me to your writing plan. Thank-you!

  36. I truly believe me just seeing your December Writing Plan was not an accident. I decided to do it & had looked among my journal books, but the next day at church a dear sweet friend had made small journals for each lady in our Bible study group. Mine had 31 numbered pages and I knew immediately God intended your plan & my new journal book to work together. I enjoyed faithfully doing December & was blessed, so I am continuing with January's plan & look forward to each following monthly plan. I am a pastor's wife and excited about a different way to study God's Word. Thank you & God bless.

  40. Thank you for sharing this scripture writing plan. I needed something to help me dive into the word daily. This is perfect for the short period of time I have in the morning before my boys wake up.

  41. Thank you for sharing this! It gives me a "go to" place every day. My problem is, I like to do scripture journaling and being creative with how I write it (I am a visual learner and it helps me remember the verse easier), and I find these verses too long to be creative with. So I'm planning on simply writing them out and then taking pieces that jump out at me and being creative with those. When I get back to school, the creative pieces may need to wait lol. Thanks again for all your time and effort!

  43. I'm really liking this idea! I don't even know how I happened upon your blog. I was clicking interesting things on one blog that led to another that led to another that somehow landed me here. I've printed off January's Writing Plan. I meant to print it off as half a page in landscape mode so I can put it in my small Avery binder, so I'll wait for you to upload February's, and print them off together and then cut that in half for the binder. Thank you for doing this. A really great idea.

  45. Thank you! A few years ago I started writing through the NT as a meditative and listening activity (I'm on my third full journal), then saw your December plan from a friend on Facebook. Appreciate you preparing these, may you receive sweet blessings from the time you spend on this and the goodness it brings to others!

  49. Thank you for this great plan! It is such a neat idea!

I just wanted to make you aware that a page is copying your work, cutting off your watermark, and sharing it on facebook. I already let them know what they are doing is wrong. So hopefully they will edit it and add your url in to give you credit as the author/designer.

  61. I just read that you're updating your writing plans and I see that January 27 has been corrected to read Romans 8:18-25. I had the 2015 plan which had the typo on it.

    Thanks!
