Right now I'm just happy that it's the last week of school. I'm trying to find the happy in things myself right now!! I was sitting here thinking about you, though, and while I don't know exactly where you have been reassigned, God has a plan for you... you're going to be exactly where He wants you and you're going to bless the socks off some kid and their family... I just know it. So to me, that is pretty exciting...
I am sitting here watching the sun and clouds interplay in my sights. I am trying to take life as it comes these days and know that the little voice that is saying slow is something that I need to listen to more.
There is a grandchild that is being developed and growing. Dr's said it was highly unlikely that my son and his wife would ever have a natural child of their own. God hears our prayers. He answered them and we await a living, breathing miracle with much anticipation and joy. We too are struggling with decisions that are out of our hands Shannon. Life is not fair. Our God is gracious and merciful and we look to Him during these difficult times. May your faith bring you comfort in knowing He has a plan.
Well today is my birthday and I often come to your blog for some much needed inspiration. I loved your "Random Acts of Kindness" series you did a while ago and I have now implemented an "Act Up" jar in our house. It sits by the front door and once a week my husband and daughter and I pull out one of your fantastic RAOK and does them. They are also welcome to any guest who enters our home should they want to complete one themselves. I added a few others to the jar so we have around 50 to hopefully complete one each week of the year. Thanks for your daily doses of inspiration. Love your blog!! XOXO Shannon B. from Cincinnati
Hi Mrs. Shannon! :)Something that makes me happy is the fact that I get to see you in less than 2 weeks!! I can't wait :DThink happy thoughts (such as our mustache fun in K-Mart) and make the most of every minute. I <3 you!
Happy: the chaos of the recital is almost over!Good: I have a (horribly beaten up) car, but at least I don't have to take the bus. Good: The big tree branch that pulled the telephone box off the outside wall of my house didn't disconnect me from my phone/internet service. That's good because I won't be able to think of getting someone from the phone company out here to look at it until sometime next week.
My son's surgery went well and he is recovering at home and doing great. My other son was accepted into a performing arts school and soon his dreams will come to life.
