Monday Morning Question of the Day

If you blog, tweet, and/or Facebook- this question is for you.

Do you think that what you blog, tweet, and Facebook-
 portrays the REAL you?

Do you think that if someone didn't know you in real life
except from one or all of those three ways and then after a time met you,
would they think you were exactly as they expected you to be?

  1. No I don't think so. I am definetly not myself totally on my blog. People may have a different perception of me than I am in real life. Are we ever as open as we would be in person?

  2. Yes, having my mother as one of my blog readers keeps me pretty honest! :)

  3. I am me, on my blog, my Twitter and my FaceBook accounts. My husband reads my blog, so he knows if I am keeping it real.

What you see is what you get. Nothing that I am not.

  4. Yep, I think so. I actually think I can be a little MORE myself in these forums, saying things I think and feel - which I am sometimes to shy to say in person. Does that make sense?

  5. Yes- since my website is my name I can't be to anonymous :) I am also a mid-westerner - as a mid-westerner honesty is the best policy- yet I do keep some secrets and thoughts to myself and not on my blog or facebook :)

  6. I hope so. My friends used to tease me and say I have "no game." It is challenge enough to be me. I can't imagine the effort it would take to try to be someone I'm not.
