We all carry around some baggage. Some people travel through life carrying around small little bitty carry on bags while others lug and drag around HUGE massive suitcase sized bags filled to overflowing with their past mistakes, fears, painful memories, and hurts.

No matter what size the bag is, the truth is, we ALL have some sort of bag that we carry our baggage around in.

Oh some of us disguise that baggage in a pretty little Vera Bradley bag or a beautiful Coach bag- while other carry theirs around in beat up, torn and tattered old bags. But regardless of what the outside looks like, the inside is full of the yucky and painful things from our past.

And truly, the only way to deal with that baggage, is to lay it at the feet of Jesus.

I am so very thankful that He is willing and able to take that baggage from me.

Because without Him, I am destined to lug it around for the rest of my life.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

  1. What a powerful demonstration of what most of us carry around without realizing - and how simple it is or SHOULD be to let it all go. Awesome.

  2. Shannon, I don't know if you read my blog entry yesterday, but I cried through this whole video. Please read my entry if you haven't. It's time we starting SHOWING Jesus to people (esp. youth) instead of just TELLING them about Him. Have a great weekend!

  3. So very very profound. Thank you for sharing it Shannon. We all need reminders where to lay our baggage. It is heavy and it is hard. God help us to help others.

  4. Thank you again Shannon for touching our lifes when we need it.

btw - is this from the Revolve Tour?

  5. Thank you for sharing this, I love it! Beautifully done! Love the music! Such a SWEET POST!
