Parenting Is Hard

Parenting is hard & beautiful.

Recently the amazing and fabulous
Ann Voskamp posted the following on Facebook

I loved it so and shared with several friends that I know are
walking through some difficult & painful times with their children
who they love so very much.

I loved Ann's post because it's a reminder that
we are not alone and holy work IS hard work!

I created a printable of this quote for my friends who
might need to print it out and keep it is a daily reminder.

You can print a copy in the folder HERE in either JPG or PDF.

  1. I agree that parenting is hard. Some seasons of parenting are easier than others. In my situation, I had a precious, delightful baby boy, toddler, and elementary school age, and high school age son. Then, when he went to college (a so-called Christian college, by the way,) his 'friends' told him that he had toxic parents, he was an 'adult' now, & should be free to make all his own decisions and that he owed his parents nothing. He had girl friends who reinforced these ideas. So, our wonderful son became depressed, bitter, resentful, angry and withdrawn from his family. Of course, we wanted him to grow up, become mature, live his own life. We didn't try to keep him under our wing. Now, 27 years later, he is a 44 yr. old man, who is married with a child and a good job, active in his church. He's clinically depressed, angry, bitter, resentful, withdrawn and wants to make sure that we know that he has very, very little time for us. We were heart broken, but 16 years ago, moved 4 states away to our dream home in the mountains and are living our lives very happily. We did our best, raised him in a Christian home, showered him with love, & this is the result. So, yes, parenting is HARD. We've turned our son totally over to God and still love him & pray for him, and now we have peace about this. Bev.
