November Scripture Writing Plan 2016

Happy, happy, happy almost November!

Once again- thank you from the bottom of my heart
to those that have emailed me this month to
tell me how much you like these little scripture writing plans!

I try to respond to each email but please know if I don't that I
seriously LOVE hearing stories of how families,
and Sunday School groups, and churches, and friends,
and even prison groups
are working through the plans together.
GOD is so cool how He uses our simple works for HIS good and glory!

Here's the plan for November which is just an updated version
of last year's since it focuses on Thanksgiving and being thankful.

If you already did the November plan last year,
you might want to.....

  • Do a month you skipped earlier this year. You can find all the plan linked on top right corner of my blog.
  • Do the November one again, using a different version. If you used NIV, try using the Message.
  • Do the bonus Kindness plan from last month. You can find it HERE.

Quick NOTE: When doing the monthly plans (especially the topical ones)
I may occasionally repeat verses- since they are appropriate for more than one topic.
Please know that I work to keep repeats to a minimum
(I actually keep a big old spreadsheet to keep from having too many repeats)
but occasionally it will happen!

You can find a copy to print out for yourself of the above plan in the folder HERE.

For those that have asked, there is also a blank form
to write your verses on that can be found HERE

Thanks to a sweet reader named Carolyn,
you can also find the Spanish version of both HERE.

Another reader asked for a version that was more manly (for her husband)
so you can also find that version HERE

And I've also added the Spanish plain versions as well!

FAQ's about the plans can be found HERE.

  1. One year!! That's how long I've been using your plans. It's been a true blessing. Some months (not all) I had to do some catching up...like during VBS week and when the kids went back to school. But I never let it condemn me. I just kept going. I found lots of scripture I rarely ran across and many that were like old friends. It was a unique way to jog my memory. I even branched out by adding 2-3 additional plans along with yours. That was a challenge but very rewarding. Thank you for sharing your life with the world and bringing joy to many that are in despair and need a fresh way to look at The Word. Blessings from a military spouse on the other side of the world in Okinawa, Japan. Much love Sister in Christ!

  2. November marks 1 year for me as well. I'm not sure what I'll do next as I notice this November's is the same last years. Do you know of any other writing plans like this? Thank you for blessing me this year.

    1. I'm working in some more topical plans and hope to post them soon as well as a year long Bible reading plan. If you didn't do both plans from last month- do one of those?

  3. First of all, Thank you so much for letting God use you to put out this writing plan. It has been a blessing. I was wondering if you were going to do a short version for the month of November. I could not find one in the folder and did not know if it was going to be added later.

    1. You are so welcome! No short version this month. Of course you can always do your own short version by simply choosing a few of the verses to write. Enjoy!

  4. Thank you for putting these together! October was my first month doing Scripture Writing and I enjoyed it so much, I was doing 3 at at time! I went looking today for November and was so happy to see you'd posted it. I've wanted to spend more time in the Word, productive time - not just reading to get it read and then looking back and thinking, 'I just read this passage and I don't even remember it!' Scripture Writing seems to be the answer for me - it makes me stop and think about what I'm reading/writing, and I've benefited from this exercise. It's become a habit I really look forward to each day, and I'm happy to say I haven't missed a single day - and I'm excited because tomorrow I will have completed an entire month! Thank you again for sharing such a blessing with others!

  5. Thank you. I know I had "marked" a previous one someplace to find later, so glad this showed up in my feed tonight.

  6. Thank you for all of your God-inspired HARD work in putting these plans together! November 23 of last year was the day I found your November plan and I have been writing ever since. My day does not go well when I don't start it off by being in God's Word and these plans help me do that.

I love that this November plan is the same as last year. It is ALWAYS good to be reminded of God's Word!

  7. I started using your plan last November and it has been such a blessing to me. I don't always write the whole scripture but sometimes just jot words and thoughts in my journal as I read and then I pray. I love having scriptures "already picked" and it always amazes me how timely the scriptures are in my life -- thank you for your hard work!!!

  8. This is my one year "anniversary" as well! Even though I am a Bible College grad, married to a pastor, never before had I found a "daily" plan that worked for me! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Since the current sermon series at our church is focused on the "small" epistles, I have been doing those instead of the "formal" plan. I love the deliberateness of writing the Scriptures as I read them.

  9. Writing scripture has blessed my life and kept me sane. And as an added benefit, I have gained Bible knowledge. It's a win win! Thank you for the hard work you put in to these plans!
