May Scripture Writing Plan 2016

Thank you to those that have emailed me this month to
tell me how much you like these little scripture writing plans!

I try to respond to each email but please know if I don't that I
seriously LOVE hearing stories of how families,
and Sunday School groups, and churches, and friends
are working through the plans together.
GOD is so cool how He uses our simple works for HIS good and glory!

This month I felt very strongly that I needed to do a set of verses on a specific topic
and so I chose a topic that so many, myself included, struggle with:
Anxiety/Fear.

God mentions the phrases "fear not", “do not be afraid”,
“do not fear”, and “be not afraid” many, many times in the Bible.
Obviously He knew we would struggle with anxiety to include it so many times!
(Want to see them all? Check out this great list!)

So for those following along, here's the plan for the month of May.

You can find a copy to print out for yourself in the folder HERE.

For those that have asked, there is also a blank form
to write your verses on that can be found HERE

Thanks to a sweet reader you can also find the Spanish version HERE.

The sweet reader who picks the verse for the short version for her students
hasn't sent them back to me yet- but as soon
as she does I promise to post that version here!

Another reader asked for a version that was more manly (for her husband)
so you can also find that version HERE

  7. Thank you, Shannon! To be honest, I do not like waking up early, but having the scripture writing to look forward to is definitely good incentive to get up and start the day off right!

  11. Thank you. May's topic is much needed, since I have been suffering from anxiety the last several months. Today's verse was from Matthew (the sparrows and worry). I totally appreciate it, and have been blessed since I started writing the Scriptures in February!

  15. This is wonderful!!!!! This is something I am working on right now in my walk with the Lord. I need it so badly. Have you seen this: http://rachelwojo.com/winning-over-worry-topical-bible-reading-challenge/ I've been reading through this. I'm thrilled to have a writing theme to go with it.

  23. Thank you so much for these. I noticed there isn't a "short plan" this month. I would love a short plan for May. I use "verse mapping" to more thoroughly study one verse.

    2. I was wondering if it's just me, or if the passages this month ARE already shorter? I have found myself wanting more, which is a good thing. Maybe I am just writing faster. Ha. I often read more of the context too especially since I feel like I am through so quickly.

  24. Shannon, Thank you so very much!! I started doing the daily Scripture writing in December last year. I knew I needed an extra daily commitment to the Lord and to myself for 2016. I had a stem cell transplant & chemotherapy January 4th. After the transplant you are in quarantine for 100 days. I am happy to say I just finished my 100 days and have clean bone marrow right now!!! Thank you Lord! I have multiple myeloma so there is not a cure but we can keep the cancer at bay! The transplant will give me another 10+ years! I love getting your emails and doing my daily scripture writing, thank you SO VERY much for being with me during one of my hardest battles! You have blessed my life more than you will ever know! Love & hugs to you my sweet blessing!

  25. Shannon, I want to join those saying thanks for these Scripture Writing plans. I lead a group of young moms, and they are perfect for their personal devotions when we take a break from our formal Bible study programs. We have been alternating between a study that digs deeply into God's word, and your writing plans that allow us to meditate in a "no pressure" way on one small bite each day. The two approaches seem to balance themselves well. We are about to finish up a study of Ephesians and everyone is enthusiastic about using some of your Scripture plans to see us through the summer when life lacks its normal rhythms. I have been able to encourage several ladies (older and younger) to get back into the word after a season of neglect by suggesting your plans as a simple daily devotional. This month's topic on fear/anxiety is great. I know it will be helpful to many. Thank you also for making these available free of charge. May the Lord bless you richly for your labor of love.

  26. On April 16, I had my first born son, Eli 10 weeks early. He weighed 2 pounds,12 ounces and was 15 inches long, a real tiny thing! A week later we discovered that he had a rare heart condition. A few days later we discovered it was caused by a genetic disorder. I ended up seeing this plan on Facebook. I had been dealing with fear and anxiety and really had no idea what all the word said about it. I've been doing this plan everyday and it keeps me going. I share the word with my husband and it gives us peace. Thank you for letting God use you to create something that can minister to my momma heart!
