Be Still and KNOW

I don't know about you but so many days I
feel like I run around like a chicken with my head cut off.
It's go go go go go from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed.

I rarely, if ever, stop and take the time to be still.
To sit at the feet of Jesus and just listen to Him.

Our world seems to get busier and crazier
and everything needs to be done immediately.
I was at MD Anderson earlier this week for my
6 month testing and doctor visits.
As I sat waiting for my MRI with nothing but a blanket to keep me company
{everything else was locked up in a tiny locker with my clothes}
I thought of how peaceful I felt when I just stopped
and had no other distractions.
It was just me and Jesus.
I poured out my heart to Him and it was glorious.

The prints below are ones I used at the Haven of Hope retreat a few weeks ago.

My favorite is this one
{we had shirts made of it for the retreat}

and I often feel that perhaps I need to have it tattooed on my arm as a reminder.

My surgeon told me yesterday that part
of the reason for the headaches is because I need to slow down to allow my body to heal.
I think more importantly I need to slow down and rest-
so that my heart and soul can listen to sweet Jesus.

If you too need a reminder you can print out all of the above pics HERE.

  2. These are all wonderful - thanks for the encouragement. You had mentioned that you had shirts made for the retreat - is there any way to purchase one? My friend NEEDS the "be still" reminder.

  6. My husband and I serve in ministry together, and I am currently setting up a new planner for the year. I am trying to put as much scripture in it as possible. Thank you so much for these encouraging designs and the willingness to be used by God!
