Monday Morning Question of the Day

My favorite Bible verse of all times-
the one I consider my life verse
 is Jeremiah 29:11 which says.......

For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.

What is your favorite verse?

  2. Psalm 46:10 says "Dia, sit down and shut up."

OK, it really says "Be still and know that I am God." It was written specifically for me, and I love it when I do just that ... be still ... and know that He is God.

  3. That is mine as well (Jeremiah 29:11). In fact over the weekend a dear friend was having a rough time and worrying and that was the first verse that came to my mind to comfort her.

  4. My youth minister in high school shared Romans 8:28 with me during some tough times & I've relied on it many times since: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

  5. Psalm 23, hands down.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    I don't know why...but it comforts me.
