Monday Morning Question of the Day

I'm in my 39th year and about 6 months away from my 40th birthday.
(How did that happen? Seriously, wasn't I just 30 only yesterday?)

I've been working on a list of

40 Things to Do Before I Turn 40

The list includes a few things I've always wanted to do but never have
as well as a few things I've been putting off for way too long.

But I need your help.
I'm not even close to 40 things and
want you to tell me one thing (or more) that you think I should add to the list.

It has to be realistic
(saying that I should take us all on a trip to Ireland (which I would love to do)
and it has to be legal, but other than that, the sky is the limit.

So, what should I add to my list?

  1. Oooooooh, I know, I know....

Move closer to ME! That's realistic and do-able. :o)

  2. Oh Dory if only that were do-able. I'm pretty sure I cannot talk both of our families to move too so I'm thinking that one is out. Sorry. :(

  5. Going on a Missions Trip.

This is a great idea. I think I will steal your idea (if you don't mind) and make a list of my own. I only have 18 months until the big 40.

  6. Learn to play a musical instrument - if you haven't already.

Take a kick boxing class - if you haven't already.

Spend 24 hours at home with no cooking/cleaning/chores. Just play and sleep!

  7. I think Jen's #3 should be high on your priority list. I would really like to see you accomplish that!

  8. Paint a picture....from your heart...not of anything...just paint. (I can not paint a LICK, but think I'll do this before I turn 50!)Get paint and brushes and paint. And then frame it and look at it everyday and see what you see. I'll bet you see something different every single day. : )

  9. Give each family member "their own day" let them pick what they want to do with you, from what to eat and what to do, what to wear the whole day planned out by them just for you!!

You may have done this already, but I think sometimes we all focus on what we want or should do and don't always let the kiddos or hubby take the chance to let us have the day with them.

You guys are the BEST!

  15. I only have two for you:
    1) Start taking yoga &/or pilates
    2) Have a girls weekend with me!

I made a list of "41 Things on My 40th" last month (since I am so freakishly older than you.) It was a compilation of blessings and resolutions and goals and lessons learned. Basically just 41 random thoughts that I later organized into categories. One of the things was "More Water, Less Diet Coke" ... not saying I recommend you decreasing your Diet Coke, but you could add "Drink more water!"
