July Scripture Writing Plan 2016

Once again- thank you to those that have emailed me this month to
tell me how much you like these little scripture writing plans!

I try to respond to each email but please know if I don't that I
seriously LOVE hearing stories of how families,
and Sunday School groups, and churches, and friends
are working through the plans together.
GOD is so cool how He uses our simple works for HIS good and glory!
I loved hearing stories of how the topic for this month was so needed for so many.

This month I once again felt very strongly that I needed to do
a set of verses on a specific topic and so I chose a topic
that so many, myself included, struggle with:
PATIENCE & PERSEVERANCE

Quick NOTE: When doing the monthly plans (especially the topical ones)
I may occasionally repeat verses- since they are appropriate for more than one topic.
Please know that I work to keep repeats to a minimum
(I actually keep a big old spreadsheet to keep from having too many repeats)
but occasionally it will happen!

You can find a copy to print out for yourself in the folder HERE.

For those that have asked, there is also a blank form
to write your verses on that can be found HERE

Thanks to a sweet reader you can also find the Spanish version HERE.

Another reader asked for a version that was more manly (for her husband)
so you can also find that version HERE

I love happy stories.
You know, those happy, inspiring, tear producing stories that
remind you there IS good in the world!
I LOVE those so very much!
I love them so much that I seek them out
daily to remind me of the good in people.

I share lots of those types of stories on Facebook
but here are a few of my favorites from the past week!

"Never give up!"

This sweet couple have been inseparable for 84 years.

This high school senior designs hats for the less fortunate in Peru.

When 200 strangers attend funeral of WWII homeless vet with no family?

IN Case of Emergency: iPhone Users Need to Read This

Last month a friend of a friend had a heart attack while at the gym.
This gentleman, who was new to town, only had his iPhone with him.
A locked iPhone that had a passcode.

Because of this it took HOURS and HOURS before anyone
could figure out who he was, since he was unconscious, and notify his family.
Hours that his family didn't know he was in serious, grave condition
and undergoing surgery.

Thankfully if you have an iPhone, there is a way to keep something
like this from happening to you and your family and it only takes a few minutes to set up!

You can enter emergency medical information via the Health app
which is then accessible from your lock screen without having to input your passcode.

Here's how it works:

When someone picks up your phone they will see this:
And if they click on the Emergency button, they'll then see this:

They can then click on Medical ID to find out your name,
medical info, and who to contact in case of an emergency-
but only if you have it set up.

Here's how to quickly set it up:
  1. Open the Health app on your phone.
  2. In the bottom right corner, click Medical ID.
  3. If you have not created one already, you'll get this screen below.  Click Create Medical ID.
  4. Simply fill out the details including who to contact in case of an emergency and any other important medical information.  Be certain the Show When Locked option is turned on (green) so that it will show when your phone is locked.
If you have an iPhone please set this up right away-
and share with any of your friends or family members too!

PS I'm not an Android phone user, but if you are
I believe these directions will help you set it up on your phone!

GOOD News 6/8/16

I love happy stories.
You know, those happy, inspiring, tear producing stories that
remind you there IS good in the world!
I LOVE those so very much!
I love them so much that I seek them out
daily to remind me of the good in people.

I share lots of those types of stories on Facebook
but here are a few of my favorites from the past week!

How precious is that?

This teen sold newspapers for 5 years and earned enough
to pay off college before he even started! Talk about determination!

Dads learn how to style their daughter's hair at this class run by a single dad but...
It's not about the braid or the bun. It's about dads and daughters spending quality time together.

This janitor sends his five kids to college....for free!
For the last 15 years, Fred Vautour has worked the grounds of Boston College as a janitor. It hasn't always been glamorous, but sending his five children to the prestigious private college tuition-free made it all worth it.

How precious is that?

If you are someone who uses the monthly scripture plans
I would LOVE for you to fill out the short survey below!
I'm working on the next few months and
